Nonprofits invited to submit proposals

The Lake County COVID-19 Vaccine Outreach Grant will provide microgrants of up to $1,500 to support coordinated campaigns to increase education and promotion around COVID-19 vaccination. Awarded projects must focus on specific programs and initiatives intended to increase COVID-19 vaccine access, acceptance, and uptake among Lake County, Indiana residents.

Priority will be given to projects that prioritize racial and ethnic minority communities and communities that are seeing low vaccination turnout, as identified by Indiana Department of Health data.

Legacy Foundation invites proposals from 501(c)3 organizations, including municipalities, schools, educational institutions, and faith-based organizations.

Eligible activities include, but are not limited to, public education, marketing campaigns, special events, and mobilizing, specifically aimed at increasing COVID-19 vaccine access, acceptance, and uptake.

Creative and innovative ideas are encouraged, especially those used to engage traditionally hard-to-reach populations, or using new and culturally relevant outreach and education methods.

Application deadline is 5:00pm CDT on Wednesday, May 26, 2021.
