FREE tickets for West Side Theatre Guild's 25th season opener
The R&B funk icon Con Funk Shun has been pleasing fans for over 50 years.
After the success of their 1982 hit Love’s Train being rerecorded by Silk Sonic (Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak) and reaching #1 on the charts in 2022, the band’s locomotion is running again.
Con Funk Shun is the headliner for the West Side Theatre Guild’s “A History of Rhythm & Blues,” kicking off the Guild’s 25th season. The cast includes West Side Leadership Academy students and community members.
“I’ve been trying for 10 years to get Con Funk Shun to Gary,” said WSTG Director Mark Spencer.
The one-night performance starts at 7pm, Friday, September 20th in the West Side Theatre (Main Space), 900 Gerry St., Gary, IN.
