'Drive sober or get pulled over' is the message from Indiana State Police
Troopers assigned to the Indiana State Police Lowell Post had a very busy 2024 when it came to DUI enforcement.
Troopers combined for a total of 679 impaired drivers being removed from our roadways, said Lt. Terrance Weems, District Commander at the Lowell Post in northwest Indiana.
“While I am very pleased that the Lowell Post Troopers were able to remove this many impaired drivers from the roadways, this is 679 too many,” Lt. Weems said.
He added, “With all of the messaging that is out there, it should be difficult to locate impaired drivers. Unfortunately, it is not. Troopers will continue to make DUI enforcement a priority and the message remains the same – drive sober or get pulled over.”
The following Troopers had 25-plus DUI arrests in 2024:
Trooper Kaylee Galvan - 118
