Indiana House and Senate Democrats to hold town hall in Gary

Local legislators will discuss taxes, health care, education
Indpls. – It’s half time for Indiana’s 2025 legislative session, and Indiana House and Senate Democrats are hosting a legislative town hall for the community of Gary.
The event is hosted by State Rep. Vernon Smith (D-Gary), State Rep. Earl L. Harris Jr. (D-East Chicago), State Rep. Ragen Hatcher (D-Gary) and State Sen. Mark Spencer (D-Gary).
Members will discuss important property tax, health care and education legislation moving through the Statehouse. It’s also a chance for legislators to hear thoughts and concerns from the community.
The town hall will be held at the IU Northwest Savannah Center, 65 W 33rd Ave., from Noon to 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 1, 2025.
