Juvenile auto passenger was injured in I-80/94 incident

Indiana State Police investigators from the Lowell Post reported the arrest Tuesday of Darrell A. Graham, the suspect in a road rage shooting on I-80/94 in Hammond.

Graham, 35, from Chicago, was arrested without incident by the U.S. Marshal’s Great Lakes Task Force in the 7000 block of Birch Avenue in Hammond.

In the June 3, 2024 shooting, a juvenile sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to their lower extremities.

ISP troopers had been dispatched, at approximately 3:25pm that day, to the 7000 block of Madison in Hammond to investigate a report of a shooting that had occurred in a construction zone on I-80/94 near Calumet Avenue.

Graham faces 2 counts of Attempted Murder, Battery Resulting in Serious Bodily Injury to a Person less than 14 Years Old, Criminal Recklessness and other charges. He is in custody at the Lake County Jail.
