Las Patronas Cocina and Cantina is new restaurant in East Chicago

Maria Rosio Ramos is a new business owner taking on the challenge of opening her first restaurant.
East Chicago's Planning and Economic Development Dept. recently held a ribbon cutting ceremony with Ramos at Las Patronas Cocina and Cantina, 5654 Indianapolis Blvd. The restaurant and bar is directly across the street from the South Shore Train Station on Indianapolis.
"People say they love my food. I am very excited and welcome everybody to come to the best restaurant in town," Ramos said.
Las Patronas is open Tuesday through Thursday from 8am to 8pm; Friday through Sunday, 8am to 9pm; and closed Monday.
