Spoken word, song, dance and visual media celebration of an historic figure
Director and producer Mark Spencer shares the stage in “An MLK Visual Experience” with Altovise Ferguson, Jalaiyah Prince, Dwayne Coleman, and Dwayne Coleman, Jr. to celebrate Martin Luther King Day and Black History Month.
Experience a visual journey into the life and accomplishments of civil rights icon Martin Luther King, Jr. The work will include spoken word, song, dance and visual media.
Spencer said the performance is designed mostly for children and youth, “to expose them to this historic figure; and that we should not forget the sacrifices he made for us.”
”An MLK Visual Experience” has a 7-day performance schedule at the Gary Public Library, 220 W. 5th Avenue. It is free to the public. Tickets are available at all branches of the Gary Public Library.

January 30th - 10 a.m.
January 31st - 10 a.m. SOLD OUT
February 1st - 11a.m.
February 2nd - 6 p.m.
February 3rd – 6 p.m.
February 4th - 3 p.m.
February 9th - 6 p.m.
