FBI reward increased in homicide of 2-year old Joette "Jo Jo" Malone

The FBI has increased the reward for information leading to the identification and arrest of the individual(s) responsible for the homicide of Joette “Jo Jo” Malone to $15,000. The initial reward was $10,000 when it was announced in August 2020. An additional $5,000 has been added by a third party.
The FBI also released a sketch of the suspect when the increased reward was announced Tuesday.
On July 29, 2020, at approximately 9:30 p.m., Hammond Police were dispatched to the Kennedy Crossing apartment complex in the 3300 block of Craig Drive in reference to shots fired.
Upon arrival, officers located a vehicle occupied by a mother, Ronnica Taylor, and her daughter, Joette “Jo Jo” Malone. Jo Jo was two years old and had been struck by a bullet from an unknown location. The mother was not harmed in the incident but was transported to a local hospital. The child was flown to a Chicago children’s hospital where she later died from the injuries sustained in the shooting.
The sketch is a person of interest in the investigation. He is believed to be a black male, approximately 18-25 years old, medium height, and thin build.
