Learn what is involved in starting a business
Class is free of charge; you must be registered by March 29, 2019 in order to attend.
The Self -Employment Workshop is a 12 contact hour training session that meets 4 hours a day, once a week for three weeks.
Participants can attend either a morning session from 8 a.m. to Noon or an evening session 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. The workshop will help Adults 18+ learn what is involved in starting a business.
Classes will be held Tuesdays, April 9, 16, and 23, 2019.
Topics include:
• Licenses and permits
• Legal forms of operation
• Marketing
• Banking
• Pricing
• Insurance
• What expenses you can deduct
• Running a home-based business and
• Calculating start-up expenses
