Disney's Lion King Jr., Simba's story opens WSTG season

Season continues with "Fences" and "Joseph & the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat"

Disney’s The Lion King Jr. will take place on December 12, 13, 14 19, 20, 21 at 7 p.m. and December 15 and 22 at 4 p.m., 2019 in the small theatre which is now referred to as the Gerry St. Theatre. Patrons should use door E.

The Lion King Jr. tells the story of the epic adventures of a curious cub named Simba as he struggles to accept the responsibilities of adulthood and his destiny as king. The play is directed by Mark Spencer, assisted by Markeysha Coleman, choreographed by Cheryl Barnes, Josh Ismon, and Davonna Edwards.

Tickets are $10.00 in advance and $15 at the door. Tickets are available at West Side Leadership Academy, Parent Room 120.

The season continues with the revival of August Wilson’s FENCES (Gerry St. Theatre) February 28-29, March 6-7 at 7 p.m., March 1 and 8 at 4p.m., 2020.

Joseph & the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Main Theatre), follows on March 20, 2020. This marks the final performance of director, Mark Spencer, revising the role of Joseph to celebrate his 50th birthday!

WSTG Orchestra, Band, and Choral concert (Main Theatre) closes the season on May 1, 2020.
