Hammond's Velocity 219 Volleyball finishes in Gold Bracket

First year club has great year
On June 17-18, Hammond’s 1st Club Volleyball Program, Velocity 219, went to the Asics Junior National Championship at Navy Pier. Velocity’s 16 Regional team finished in the Gold bracket. The team finished 9th overall in the 16’s pool at Nationals. There were 22 teams in their pool for this competition.
The Velocity 219 16 Regional Team was coached by Hammond resident Amanda Colvin. Amanda played volleyball at Morton High School. After high school she played collegiate volleyball at Indiana University Northwest.
“This was a great finish to our first season as a new Volleyball Club,” said Amanda. “We are looking forward to competing again soon!”
